TISSNET historically referred to TISS’s own postgraduate entrance examination. For a current applicant, it should not be treated as an exam to register for in the 2026–27 cycle. TISS’s official 2026 PG materials state that admissions to its master’s programmes are based on CUET-PG 2026 scores except for three programmes using CAT 2025, while two specified blended-learning education programmes are presented under a Non-CUET route.

The node description is therefore only partly current: TISSNET was not limited to management admissions, and it is no longer the operative route for the current TISS PG cycle. There is no single current “TISSNET eligibility” rule to apply across TISS. TISS publishes programme-specific eligibility criteria and corresponding CUET-PG test-paper codes in its PG admissions materials. A candidate must meet the requirements of the particular programme as well as take the applicable entrance examination.

For the 2026 cycle, candidates for the three CAT-PG programmes needed CAT 2025, while applicants to eligible CUET-PG programmes were assessed through their CUET-PG 2026 score. TISS advises applicants to use its programme list and admission brochure for the precise requirements.

TISSNET has no current 2026 examination format because it is not the active TISS PG entrance route. For CUET-route TISS programmes, the relevant exam format is CUET-PG as conducted by the National Testing Agency; the TISS admission decision is based on CUET-PG 2026 score at 100% weightage for the programmes covered by TISS’s CUET selection criteria.

For the three CAT-PG programmes, applicants use CAT 2025 for the entrance-score component and should follow the TISS programme-specific selection process and calendar rather than any historical TISSNET pattern.

• CUET-PG route: prepare according to the NTA CUET-PG paper applicable to the intended TISS programme.
• CAT-PG route: prepare for CAT and monitor TISS’s separate selection and assessment notices.
• Do not rely on old TISSNET sections, question patterns, or cut-offs as a current admission format.

For the CUET-PG route, the published 2026 calendar shows two distinct steps: registration for CUET-PG through the NTA process, followed by TISS’s own online application/registration and fee payment after the CUET result process. TISS then published merit lists and conducted document verification at the respective campuses.

The listed 2026 TISS CUET-PG application window ran from May 22, 2026 to June 11, 2026 at 5:00 pm. These dates are historical as of July 19, 2026, and TISS labels its schedule as tentative and subject to change. A future-cycle applicant should wait for the official calendar and follow the route assigned to the chosen programme.

Replace a TISSNET-centric study plan with preparation for the current route. For a CUET-PG-eligible TISS programme, first locate the prescribed test-paper code and study the NTA syllabus and format for that paper. For the three CAT-PG programmes, prepare for CAT and then follow TISS’s programme-specific shortlist and assessment instructions.

TISS also notes that it receives CUET scores from multiple subject papers and uses a normalisation approach to make results comparable; where a candidate has taken multiple subjects, its 2026 brochure says the best-performing score is considered for the merit list. This makes selecting appropriate, permitted CUET subject papers and carefully checking TISS’s current rules important.

• Start with the official TISS programme list, eligibility criteria, and required test-paper code—not a generic TISSNET syllabus.
• Use the official NTA CUET-PG information for CUET preparation and the official CAT materials for CAT-route programmes.
• Re-check TISS notices before every application or admission milestone because procedures and dates are cycle-specific.

The entrance route is an admissions mechanism, not a qualification by itself. Successful applicants are offered places in TISS postgraduate programmes subject to merit-list position, the applicable reservation and priority rules, payment and acceptance steps, and document verification.

For CUET-route programmes in 2026, TISS states that reservation and priority rules are applied for final seat allocation through the merit list or waitlist. The institute’s PG programme page lists postgraduate offerings across its campuses; available programmes and their credit structures are subject to the applicable admission cycle and academic framework.
