NIPER JEE

NIPER JEE is a national postgraduate admissions route for the participating National Institutes of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPERs). Published NIPER guidance gives lower thresholds for SC/ST candidates (55% or 6.25/10) and PwBD candidates (50% or 5.75/10). These rules should be rechecked against the current-cycle brochure because annual admission notices control the operative requirements.

NIPER’s published guidance also states that a valid GPAT, GATE or NET score is generally essential, with listed exceptions including certain medical/veterinary degree holders, foreign nationals and specified sponsored/NRI cases. Do not assume that a B.Pharm degree alone establishes eligibility for every programme or category.

(Pharm.), M.Pharm. and M.Tech. proceeded through merit-list and online-counselling steps, while MBA (Pharm.) selection additionally involved group discussion and personal interview (GD/PI) notices and merit lists based on CBT plus GD/PI scores.

The detailed paper pattern should always be taken from the cycle-specific master’s brochure. As a useful historical planning reference rather than a promise for a future cycle, the official 2025 master’s brochure described application procedure, test venues and an “About the Entrance Test” section; NIPER may revise the structure, syllabus, centres, scoring or selection stages in a later notification.

After CBT results, the 2026 portal published merit and counselling-related notices. Candidates seeking M.S. (Pharm.), M.Pharm. or M.Tech. were directed to online counselling and web-option registration, whereas MBA (Pharm.) candidates were notified separately for GD/PI and MBA merit lists. Follow only the notices for the programme category for which you applied.

Before paying or submitting an application in a future cycle, verify the selected programme group, eligibility, category certificates, payment instructions and document-upload rules in that cycle’s revised brochure. The 2025 official brochure, for example, required applicants to choose the appropriate programme group and warned that a wrong selection could require a fresh application and a non-refundable fee; fees and procedures are variable by year.

Use only official current-cycle material to finalise the test plan. The 2026 portal made a master’s mock test available, and its revised brochure and notices are the authoritative place to confirm the current CBT instructions, programme grouping and any updates before the examination.

For MBA (Pharm.) applicants, prepare separately for the post-CBT selection stage as well: the 2026 process included group discussion and personal interview, so preparation should include communicating pharmaceutical-management interests and explaining one’s academic background in addition to CBT preparation.

The degree is a postgraduate academic and research-oriented outcome. NIPER Hyderabad describes master’s degree requirements as including both coursework and project work, underscoring that admission leads to a structured programme rather than an exam credential by itself.
