AP EAPCET

AP EAPCET is Andhra Pradesh’s Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test. In the 2026 cycle, JNTUK conducted it for admission to first-year professional programmes for academic year 2026–27. The Engineering booklet covers Engineering, Biotechnology, B.Tech Dairy Technology, B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, B.Tech Food Science and Technology, B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Horticulture, B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.F.Sc., B.Pharmacy and Pharm.D; applicants must select the stream appropriate to their intended course and qualifications.

Qualifying in the examination is not, by itself, an admission offer. The official booklet states that candidates must also meet the applicable government-order and admission eligibility requirements, while the counselling process publishes participating institutions, intake, disciplines and categories separately.

• Use the Engineering (E) category for the Mathematics–Physics–Chemistry route and the Agriculture & Pharmacy (AP) category for the Biology–Physics–Chemistry route, where applicable.
• Candidates eligible for both categories could select E & AP together in the 2026 application, subject to the official instructions for that cycle.

The 2026 Engineering-stream rules required candidates to be Indian nationals, PIOs or OCI card holders; to satisfy Andhra Pradesh local/non-local requirements; and to have at least 45% aggregate in the specified qualifying subjects, or 40% for candidates in reserved categories. For Engineering and the MPC pharmacy/technology routes, the usual qualifying route was Intermediate (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, relevant engineering/technology vocational study with the required bridge course, or a recognised equivalent; specified engineering-diploma candidates could also apply. Candidates awaiting their qualifying result could apply, but the rank was valid only if they passed.

Requirements vary materially by programme. For example, the 2026 Agriculture & Pharmacy booklet sets subject combinations for agriculture, horticulture, veterinary and fisheries courses, and specifies separate requirements for BiPC pharmacy, biotechnology and Pharm.D routes. Some programmes also carry age rules. Applicants should therefore rely on the instruction booklet and counselling notification for their exact course rather than treating the general rule as sufficient.

• For the 2026 Engineering/technology route, final-year Intermediate or diploma candidates awaiting results were permitted to apply, subject to passing the qualifying examination.
• For the 2026 cycle, some courses—including B.Tech Dairy Technology, B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, B.Tech Food Science & Technology and B.Sc Agricultural Engineering—had a minimum age of 17 by December 31, 2026 and stated upper-age limits.
• Eligibility and local-status rules are cycle-specific; confirm the current booklet before applying.

For the 2026 Engineering stream, AP EAPCET was online only and lasted three hours. It had 160 objective questions: Mathematics (80), Physics (40), and Chemistry (40). Each question had four response options and one correct answer; every question carried one mark, and unanswered or incorrect responses did not attract negative marking.

For the 2026 Agriculture & Pharmacy stream, the same three-hour computer-based format and 160-question total applied, but the subject distribution was Biology (80: Botany 40 and Zoology 40), Physics (40), and Chemistry (40). The official booklets state that question papers were available in English and Telugu; Urdu-medium qualifying-exam candidates requesting translation assistance were assigned a Kurnool test centre under the 2026 rules.

• Use only the current official syllabus and stream-specific instruction booklet when planning study.
• The 2026 booklets required candidates to report early, bring the hall ticket and prescribed identification/documents, and prohibited calculators, phones and other unauthorised materials.

Applications for AP EAPCET 2026 were submitted online through the APSCHE CET portal. The official instructions listed information to prepare before applying, including qualifying-exam and SSC/equivalent hall-ticket numbers, date of birth, Aadhaar number, and—where relevant—caste, income, local-status, disability, NCC or sports documentation. After fee payment and form submission, candidates were instructed to verify the information, save the registration number and retain a printed application form.

The 2026 schedule is past context, not a forecast: regular applications opened on February 4, 2026 and closed without late fee on March 24, 2026; late-fee windows ran through April 10, 2026. Engineering testing took place May 12–15 and May 18, 2026, while Agriculture & Pharmacy testing took place May 19–20, 2026. Future dates, fees, document rules and correction windows must be checked in the next official notification.

• Submit one application for the relevant category—E, AP, or E & AP—following the current booklet’s rules.
• Check the official portal for application status, hall-ticket download, results, rank card and counselling notices.

Start by choosing the correct stream, then map study to the official syllabus: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for Engineering; Biology, Physics and Chemistry for Agriculture & Pharmacy. Because the 2026 test was computer-based, candidates should also practise navigation and timed answering in the official sample/mock test environment rather than preparing only on paper.

A practical plan is to complete the official syllabus topic by topic, regularly take three-hour mixed-subject practice tests, and use the results to revisit weak units. The official booklet’s no-negative-marking rule means candidates can use remaining time to make considered attempts on unanswered questions, while prioritising accuracy and speed throughout.

• Use the official stream-specific syllabus and model questions as the scope of study.
• Take the official mock test to experience the computer-based format.
• Practise full-length papers with the stream’s actual question distribution: 80 questions in Mathematics or Biology, plus 40 each in Physics and Chemistry.

In the 2026 rules, the general qualifying threshold was 25% of the maximum marks considered for ranking; SC/ST candidates had no prescribed minimum qualifying mark, with admission limited to the reserved seats available. Candidates were ranked on a combined score using 75% EAPCET normalized marks and 25% marks in relevant 10+2 group subjects. The rank was valid only for academic year 2026–27 admissions to courses named in the application.

After results, candidates download their rank card and participate in the separate admissions/counselling process if eligible. The AP EAPCET Convener conducts the examination but is not responsible for seat allotment; the 2026 booklet identifies the Andhra Pradesh Commissioner of Technical Education as Convener for admissions. Institution lists, intake and reservation details are released with the counselling information.
