Integrated first-degree students can also choose the Practice School option: PS-I is two months after the second year and PS-II is five and a half months in the final year; BITS describes these as faculty-supervised, credit-bearing work at professional locations. A thesis may be an alternative to Practice School in relevant cases.

Admission to an M.Sc. programme does not mean that a particular B.E. branch is locked at entry. BITS states that every admitted M.Sc. student is accommodated in the dual-degree scheme for a second B.E. degree, with allocation made separately by campus after first-year performance using the Progressive Branching Index (PBI). Thus, the M.Sc. is the initial admission choice, while the engineering branch is competitively allotted after the first year and depends on first-year performance and branch-seat availability.
The 2026 BITSAT admissions cycle is time-sensitive. Mess/electricity and other advances are described as adjustable, so they should not be treated as final consumption costs.
This is dated fee context, not a five-year fee quote. BITS expressly states that semester tuition, summer-term, and hostel fees for the 2026–27 entrant cohort will rise each year. A dual-degree student also pays the admission fee for the second B.E. programme at the time it is allotted. Costs can further vary with summer-term registration, Practice School, campus living arrangements, taxes or new levies, and personal expenses.
